Type: Contract Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts (Days), Every Other
Week (EOW) schedule, First-to-Float between College Station and
Bryan campus (16-minute drive); call not required Hours per Week:

people heal. Roles & Responsibilities Provide compassionate, expert
respiratory care for neonatal patients in a Level II NICU Perform
neonatal resuscitation and stabilization per NRP guidelines Operate
and manage neonatal respiratory equipment and ventilators safely
and effectively Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes
accurately in MEDHOST Float between College Station and Bryan
campuses as first-to-float when needed Precept and mentor newer
clinicians when requested by the unit Collaborate with the
multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care and family
education Adhere to unit policies and attendance expectations;
minimize callouts to maintain team continuity Qualifications
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential via NBRC required
— CRT not accepted Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
certification required BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience; NICU
experience required and must feel comfortable with that patient
population Experience with MEDHOST or similar electronic charting
systems preferred Ability to float between College Station and
Bryan campuses (16-minute drive) as needed Candidates must NOT have
been employed (FT/PT/PRN) by CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity within the
past year; PRN employment through outside firms will be considered
Education RRT (NBRC) credential required; BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills Strong neonatal respiratory assessment and
ventilator management skills Proficiency in Neonatal Resuscitation
(NRP) protocols Familiarity with MEDHOST charting and documentation
workflows Trauma awareness and ability to escalate appropriately
(trauma level 3 environment) Effective communication and teamwork
in high-acuity neonatal settings Precepting and teaching skills to
