Job Description:

Ascension seeks a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Antepartum team, focused on providing care to pregnant patients experiencing complex pregnancy-related conditions before childbirth. In your role, you will leverage our faith-based mission to deliver holistic care, integrating cutting-edge treatments with spiritual support, thus ensuring our patients receive the best care in both emotional and physical aspects. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive environment that prioritizes patient-centered care and staff well-being. Provide comprehensive nursing care for antepartum patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures. Perform assessments, develop patient care plans, and monitor pregnant patients’ conditions, focusing on pre-labor complications. Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Educate and support patients and their families on health care needs, conditions, options etc. Administrate medications, monitor side effects and participate in the emergency response as needed. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records according to accepted regulatory, corporate, and professional guidelines. Strong understanding of pregnancy-related health issues and antepartum care. Ability to operate fetal monitors and other medical equipment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license in the state of practice. BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) or Maternal Newborn Nursing (RNC-MNN) is highly desirable.
