Candidates must possess ACLS and BLS certifications. Description:
Contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit
available for 13 weeks. Shift hours are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with no
call requirements. The unit has 24 beds and a staff of 12 plus a
charge nurse. Patient ratios are typically 1:2 or 1:3. Required
skills include line placements, ventilator management, and drip
titration. Pre and post-operative care will also be part of the
responsibilities. The unit utilizes various types of
patient-dependent equipment including IV pumps and specialty
devices. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech.
