Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Austin, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,624 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/5/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN - Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Valid RN License Certifications: Must-Have: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS Description: CONTRACT - RN - EMERGENCY ROOM - 13 WEEKS - 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM No on-call required. The unit provides an exceptional care experience with 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track rooms, and 5 behavioral health rooms. We have a total of 111 staff members on the unit. Day shift includes a charge nurse and additional mid-shifts. Night shift staff mirror day shift requirements. Patient ratios are 1:4 for emergency department patients, 1:5 for behavioral health, and 1:3 for cardiac/trauma cases. The unit is equipped with Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 Rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers. Typical procedures performed include splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, and behavioral health de-escalation. Candidates without the required certifications will not be considered for the role. Preferred qualifications include Meditech experience, trauma experience, and holding inpatient experience. We seek multitaskers, team players, and self-starters for our team. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Candidates should follow all established policies and guidelines.
