Job Description:
Ascension, a leading faith-based healthcare organization, is
looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join
our Oncology Infusion Center team. As a nurse in this specialized
department, you will play a critical role in delivering
personalized, compassionate care by administering chemotherapy,
managing symptoms, and educating cancer patients about their
treatment. Our commitment to innovation and holistic health means

difference in the lives of your patients. Administer chemotherapy
and other medications to patients as prescribed by the oncologist.
Monitor patient conditions during treatments and report any adverse
reactions to the medication or treatment. Educate patients and
their families on treatment protocols, side effects, and
post-treatment care. Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team
including physicians, pharmacists, and social workers to ensure a
comprehensive care plan. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and
records of patient care and treatments administered. Adhere to all
safety and health regulations regarding handling and administration
of chemotherapy and other hazardous materials. Proficient in IV
therapy and central line management Excellent patient assessment
and critical thinking skills Strong ability to communicate and
educate effectively Knowledgeable about oncology diseases and the
latest treatments Compassionate and patient-focused with excellent
interpersonal skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision

in the state of practice Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN)
