Life Support Must-Have: Med/Surg Experience Description: This is a
backfill contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Telemetry
unit. The contract duration is for 13 weeks. Shifts are from 7:00
AM to 7:00 PM. Nurse assignments are typically 6:1, with the
possibility of 5:1. No on-call requirements are associated with
this position. Experience in Telemetry or Med-Surg is required.
Staffing consists of 1 Charge Nurse and 6 Nurses on the day shift,
alongside 3 Patient Care Technicians and 1 Unit Clerk. During night
shifts, there is 1 Charge Nurse and 6 Nurses, with 2 Patient Care
Technicians. The unit has a total of 34 beds and follows a patient
ratio of 1:6. Typical equipment used includes Welch Allyn Vital
Signs monitors and GE Telemetry Monitoring systems. The Electronic
Medical Record system in use is MediTech. The ideal candidate would
be outgoing and team-oriented. Preferred certifications include
Advanced Cardiac Life Support and TNCC. Typical procedures
performed on the unit may include Wound Vac, CPM machines, external
fixation, and bracing. Dress code is navy scrubs, with professional
attire expected at all times. The unit has received several awards,
including multiple Daisy Awards. This position offers an
