Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/04/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - CVICU /n/n Job Details: /n • 13-week seasonal contract position starting January 4th /n• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM /n• No call requirements /n• Weekend requirements: 6 weekend shifts per schedule for night shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) /n• Patient ratios of 2:1 and 1:1 depending on acuity /n• Must have experience with cardiac monitoring and rhythms /n• Must have experience with titratable drips and understanding of hemodynamics /n• Must have experience with respiratory patients including vents, BiPAP, trachs, and airvo /n• Must have experience with open heart surgery recovery /n• Must have experience with ECMO, Impella, and balloon pumps /n• Must have experience with CRRT/SLED /n• CVICU charge experience preferred /n• Work with advanced equipment including GE bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Centrimag ECMO Circuits, Impella CP & 5.5, Prismax CRRT machines, Tablo SLED machines, and Maquet Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps /n• Use Meditech EMR system /n• Assist with procedures including central line and chest tube insertion, bronchoscopies, tracheostomies, and intubations /n• Dress code requires navy scrubs /n• Must be a team player with positive attitude and adaptability /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility features an 8-bed CVICU located on the 4th floor with a dedicated team of 25 staff members. The unit specializes in critical care for cardiac patients and provides advanced cardiac support services including ECMO, Impella, and balloon pump therapies. The facility maintains state-of-the-art equipment and technology to support complex cardiac procedures and recovery.
