Qualifications The Director of ICU has full authority and
responsibility for the administration and supervision of the
Intensive Care Unit. You will oversee the operations of several
units/departments in accordance with hospital and nursing
department philosophy, policies, procedures, protocols and
standards. You will develop and monitor departmental budgets. You
will assure the acquisition and retention of qualified personnel.
You will develop a professional climate within the nursing units.
You will develop departmental goals consistent with hospital/system
strategic plans and operations. You will maintain current
professional growth through independent study, and attending
in-service programs and workshops. You will perform miscellaneous
duties as assigned. What qualifications you will need: Advanced
Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment
start date Basic Cardiac Life Support NIH Stroke Scale must be
obtained within 90 days of employment start date Registered Nurse
Bachelors Degree 3-7 years of experience Five (5) years of clinical
experience in the ICU with demonstrated management progression; at
least 6 months of charge/supervisor experience. St. David’s Medical
