Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession:
Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Clinic
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Experience: 1 - 3 years preferred License: RT or RCP License in the
state of employment Certifications: BLS via American Heart
Association, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC
required Must-Have: - RT or RCP License in state of employment

Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC required Description:
Responsible for the pulmonary care of critical, non-critical, and
chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under the
direction of a physician with minimal supervision. Performs patient
assessments and institutes respiratory care plans. Performs various
technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all
areas of the medical setting. Meets expectations of applicable
competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of
Leaders. Includes, but is not limited to: Emergency response;
Airway management including nasotracheal and endotracheal
suctioning; Delivery of aerosolized drugs; Ventilator management
including setup and operation; Oral hygiene; Airway retaining
device placement and maintenance; Airway support device management
including BiPAP and CPAP devices; Oxygen delivery devices and
therapeutic monitoring; Chest film analysis; Blood gas collection
and analysis; EKG analysis; Accurate and complete documentation;
Cleaning and stocking of equipment and supplies as necessary;
Participate in CAP and JC surveys. May function as Shift Leader or
serve in the capacity of Team Leader. Advanced practice skills may
include: Therapeutic gas management and monitoring; Pulmonary
Function Testing; Bronchoscopy assist; Hemodynamic Monitoring;
Waveform analysis; Nocturnal SpO2 evaluation; Polysomnography;
Transport duties.
