  • Cardiovascular experience preferred
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have cardiology experience with open hearts, heart failure, post Cath lab patients, valve patients
    • 2+ years of experience required
    • Preferred skills include LVAD experience and Meditech proficiency
      • Schedule Information
      • Shift: p18 (1800-0630)
      • Weekends: 4 weekend shifts a month required (Friday and Saturday are weekend shift nights)
      • Call Requirements: placed on call by HS must be available till 4 AM or required to float within the system
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Number of Beds - 52 PCU, 6 IMC, 14 CVICU (PCU and IMC are a shared unit)
        • Number of Staff - Roughly 80 RNs and 40 PCTs
        • Staff details: Day Shift and Night Shift staffing specifics provided
        • Patient Ratios - 1:5 and PCTs take a range of 7-15 patients
        • Equipment used includes Welch Allyn vital sign machines, GE EKG machines, pyxis machines, PC computers, glucometers, Philips remote tele boxes and in-room monitors, Imobile iphones
        • EMR - meditech
        • Typical procedures performed on unit
        • PCU standards of care charting
        • Unit guidelines/policies available upon request
        • Awards/Recognition: Top 5% of patient experience units in HCA, Number 3 in the company for Q4 2023
          • Additional Details
          • The unit takes various cases like watchman's, Cath lab, EP (pacemakers, ablations), open heart, advanced HF failure patients, and LVAD placement and readmissions
          • GI patients occasionally seen on unit
          • Personality fit: Team oriented, willing to help out PCTs and RNs, willing to follow unit policy and procedures
          • Dress Code: Scrub Color - Navy blue, No fleece jackets
