QualificationsThe Maternal Transport Registered Nurse is a
Registered Nurse who champions and serves as an expert consultant
for the facility's Maternal Transport team. The primary focus of
this role is the identification, assessment, stabilization and
transport of the high risk mother. Additionally this RN Specialist
will train and collaborate with the maternal nursing staff in order
to provide consistent and accurate information to new mothers. We

as meaningful as we do.* You will provide comprehensive nursing
care of the obstetrical patient in the transport environment using
transport protocols.* You will assist in identifying changes in the
patient condition and intervenes promptly and appropriately
according to Transport and L&D, P&P, protocols, and order
sets to on call MFM when on transport.* You will participate in the
transport of high risk maternal patients* You will be responsible
for maintaining current and in-depth knowledge of perinatal
standards of practice
What qualifications you will need:Education and Experience:*
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required* 2 years of nursing
experience in a high risk Labor and Delivery setting - required* 5
years of nursing experience in a high risk Labor and Delivery
setting - preferred* Experience as a maternal transport nurse -
preferredLicenses and Certifications:* Current Registered Nurse
license in the state of Texas of compact state license - required -
If compact License Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of
hire* Current BCLS certification required* Current NRP
certification required within 6 months of hire date* Instructor for
BLS, NRP, STABLE and/or PALS - preferred* Instructor for CPR, NRP,
and ACLS - preferred is a full-service hospital located in central
