RN Registered Nurse - School Nurse SupervisorDetails Schedule:
Monday through Friday: (8 Hours) - Will Range from 7:30AM - 4:00PM
Full Time Summers off (But will have the ability to work PRN or PT
during this period) 1 Week off for Spring Break 1 Week off for
Thanksgiving 2 Weeks off for Christmas Preferred/Required
Qualifications: 1 Year of Leadership Experience Required 2-3 Years
of School Nursing Experience Required Ability to Multi-Task and be
flexible Required Customer Service and Teaching Experience

minimal time contraints The Ascension Seton AISD School Health Team
("Health Team") is committed to providing safe care for students
during school hours in collaboration with AISD school staff.
Registered Nurses lead each campus Health Team, which may include
Clinical Assistants.. Care is provided to students on-site by
members of the Health Team, with unlicensed personnel working under
the direction of the Registered Nurses. Not all services listed are
provided by all Health Team members; the Texas Nurse Practice Act
designates which activities and services are RN-only. Services are
provided for students from 3 to 22 years of age and include:
Illness and Injury Care --- Illness and minor injury care,
emergencies, and referrals --- Chronic health conditions ---
Behavioral health conditions (early intervention and crisis
support) Medication Administration --- Medication administration
during the school day, documentation, and reconciliation ---
Training of AISD staff to administer medication Immunization
Compliance --- Monthly identification of students needing
immunizations --- Parent notification --- Referral to community
services State Mandated Screenings --- Hearing --- Vision --- Risk
Assessment for Type 2 Diabetes --- Spinal Case Management ---
Allergy/Anaphylaxis --- Other chronic health conditions ---
Diabetes --- Section 504 Program --- Pregnancy --- Asthma ---
Seizure --- ADHD --- Special Education Students eligible under
Other Health Impairment, Orthopedic Impairment, Traumatic Brain
Injury, etc. Health Education --- Student/Individual or group (hand
washing, growth and development, health, nutrition, etc) --- Parent
--- AISD Staff (skills practice for emergency medication
administration, and individualized, student specific training as
required by Individualized Health Care Plans, IEPs, and 504 Plans)

questions. Responsibilities Supervise, coordinate, and provide
leadership while directing activities of clinical/non-clinical or
interdisciplinary teams of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and
support staff delivering quality patient care and ensuring
implementation of clinical objectives in an assigned area. Assess
daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care
assignments of clinical/non-clinical or an interdisciplinary team
of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff, ensuring
that population appropriate patient care is given. In accordance
with the applicable State Nurse Practice Act, delegate appropriate
duties to clinical/non-clinical or interdisciplinary teams of
licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff based on
their assessed skills and abilities. Gather information from other
members of the clinical/non-clinical or interdisciplinary team and
use this data to plan for the care of all patients on the unit for
the shift. Evaluate the care delivered by other licensed and
non-licensed caregivers and support staff by providing direct and
immediate feedback and coaching, ongoing verbal and written
feedback to the clinical/non-clinical leader on the performance of
staff and evaluating the performance trends under his/her direction
and recommend and participate in corrective/disciplinary action as
required. Participate in the hiring process for new staff members
assigned to the shift by conducting interviews and making hiring
recommendations to the clinical/non-clinical leader. Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained
within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross
accepted. Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas
Board of Nursing required. Education: Diploma from an accredited
school/college of nursing required. Work Experience: 1 year of
experience required. Additional Preferences No additional
