Responsibilities Knowledge of all aspects of the revenue cycle process. Experience with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Supplemental Plans, and other third-party insurances. Ability to read RA/EOBs and post payments accurately with great attention to detail. Follow up with insurance company on denied or unpaid claims. Sending monthly statements to residents or responsible parties. Answering and return phone calls and email communications. Ability to articulate and explain insurance processes and payment policies clearly. Understands, adheres, and will follow ONR policies, procedures, rules and applicable laws and standards. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills. Works collaboratively in a team environment. Enjoys challenges with strong problem-solving skills. Follow HIPPA guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school graduate required. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in medical data entry. Minimum of 2 years wage-earning experience working within a business environment. Knowledge of all aspects of the revenue cycle process. Experience with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Supplemental Plans, and other third-party insurances. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. In particular, the ability to understand and organize detailed information and to write about or talk extemporaneously on that information. Ability to juggle multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy while adhering to deadlines in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. Ability to work cooperatively and productively within a high performance, results oriented, environment. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Exercise good judgment and discretion; strong ethical character capable of handling confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel. Demonstrates superior customer service and organizational skills-- Demonstrated ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
