facilitate events and programs.PurposeThe Academic Information
Systems Coordinator reports to the Associate Dean for Academic
Affairs in the College of Pharmacy to manage the implementation of
ExamSoft for the professional Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
program, provide academic and student information systems
analytics, and support cross-campus courses and interprofessional
events.Responsibilities
- ExamSoft Management. The college uses ExamSoft for critical
milestone measurements required for the Pharm.D. program. Trains
new students on the software each year, and trains and assists all
academic personnel to run examinations on a regular basis. Creates,
proofs and assists with the editing and troubleshooting of exams
and quizzes for instructors. Administers examinations and proctors
exams as needed. Facilitates exam reviews and coordinates the
scheduling, administration and proctoring for make-up exams or
accommodating special administration of exams. Creates and
publishes result reports for students. Runs regular reports
required to assess student learning, course rigor and performance
over time, facilitate teaching awards, and other assessment-driven
reports required for accreditation and other college assessment
needs. Leads the student ExamSoft Advisory Committee, working with
students to determine best practices. Attends and presents at the
annual ExamSoft Assessment Conference on behalf of the
college.
- Systems Analytics and Programmatic Reporting. Provides detailed
admissions and academic data analytics using mainframe data.
Provides technical and data logistics support for the college's
Scholarship system. Student and faculty tracking database support
using the college's internal system, PhAST. Utilizes Enflux to
prepare reports needed for programmatic reporting. Updating mailing
system and contact lists on a regular basis.
- Cross-Campus & Cross-Division Course Support. Works closely
with the Division of Pharmacotherapy Sequence Coordinator to draft
and finalize syllabi for Pharmacotherapy courses, which originate
in San Antonio, Texas. Drafts and finalizes syllabi, lecture and
exam schedules, and prepares Canvas course sites. Follows up with
faculty assigned to specific lectures to ensure smooth lecture
scheduling.
- Interprofessional Collaborative Course Support. Creates Canvas
course sites for students, assigning students to teams and cohorts
for the Foundations for Interprofessional Courses (FICP). Works
closely with community-based organizations to identify projects for
third-year PharmD FICP students. Serves at the lead events
coordinator for interprofessional events.Required Qualifications
- Work experience executing, coordinating and/or overseeing one
or more information technology groups or functions
- Demonstrated working experience in decision making and critical
thinking, tactical and strategic planning, and relationship
management
- Demonstrated extensive experience in effective communication
and problem solving
- Willingness to learn UT Austin student information systems data
and software development processes, including training and mastery
of specific program languages required for student data analytics.
These include webAgent, HTML, javascript, MySQL or similar, and
NATURAL/ADABAS mainframe programming language.Additional experience
and education may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 3 work experience executing,
coordinating and/or overseeing one or more information technology
groups or functions
- Experience with Canvas, ExamSoft and statistical data analysis
software
- Experience with UT Austin student information system data and
software development processes
- Experience with webAgent, HTML, javascript, MySQL or similar,
and NATURAL/ADABAS mainframe programming languageSalary
Range$61,000+ depending on qualificationsWorking Conditions
