This Women's Health Chief position is hiring a Physician (M.D.) -
Purpose
To provide medical care for patients eligible for UHS services and leadership for the University Health Services Women's Health clinic.
Responsibilities


  • Provision of women's health care for the students of the University
  • Periodic responsibilities include:


    • Contributing to and supporting overall organizational goals
    • Participating in and supporting peer review for providers
    • Participates in the development and evaluation of medical care standards for UHS
    • Performing administrative duties and serving of medical care standards for UHS
    • Performing administrative duties and serving on UHS committees when requested
    • Participating in outreach programs on campus, as appropriate


      • Reviews and demonstrates compliance with UHS and departmental policies and procedures
      • Performs Chief of Women's Health duties
      • Exhibits professionalism, team-work and exceptional customer service in all aspects of work
      • Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance pattern
      • Participates in other activities as appropriate and assigned

        Required Qualifications
        Physician

        • Doctoral degree in Medicine (M.D. or D.O.)
        • Completion of ACGME Residency Program in the United States
        • Current Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Obstetrics/Gynecology, or Board Eligible with completion within the first six months of employment
        • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Texas or will be obtained prior to start of employment
        • Three years of experience in providing primary medical care or gynecologic care to patients in an ambulatory setting
        • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
        • Excellent professional demeanor
        • Leadership experience in an ambulatory clinic setting overseeing medical staff
        • One year of experience or demonstrated proficiency with insertion and removal of IUD and Nexplanon
        • Experience using electronic medical records
        • Demonstrated ability to successfully work with a diverse community and provide services from a non-judgmental perspective
        • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

          Preferred Qualifications
          Physician

          • Experience with medical supervision of advanced practice registered nurses and/or physician assistants in a clinic setting
          • Leadership experience in Women's Health clinic
          • One year of experience or demonstrated proficiency with colposcopy
          • Experience working with college-age populations
          • Experience with Point and Click electronic health record
          • Familiarity in working in an integrated behavioral health clinic setting

            Salary Range
            Physician: $203,500 + depending on qualifications
            Working Conditions

            • May work around standard office conditions
            • May work around biohazards
            • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
            • Use of manual dexterity
            • Lifting and moving
            • Exposure to chemicals and commercial items typically found in offices, medical clinics, and building repairs/maintenance.

              Work Shift

              • Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM
              • Some evening and weekend work
