Unlock your potential at St. David's HealthCare!Job Summary and QualificationsJob Summary -- The Staffing Coordinator ensures high quality patient care through the coordination with facilities to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Monitors and enforces schedule integrity to ensure optimal staffing coverage. -- Develops care coordination policies and procedures to promote improved quality, safety, and efficiency in care. Fosters interdisciplinary communication and collaboration within and across departments/facilities and ensures staff with appropriate clinical competencies are assigned to meet patient care needs -- Coordinator variation in clinical practice to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost. Ensures a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care -- Ensures effective labor management, including position control, scheduling excellence, productivity management, and premium pay utilization. Maintains staffing to ensure appropriate patient care -- Conducts division market staffing -- Coordinate the movement of facility staff between facilities to meet patient needs -- Document staffing activities on electronic tools -- Collaborate with the Division Director of Nurse Staffing for appropriate utilization of division level float staff -- Communicate with facility house supervisors, managers and directors regarding staffing issues/concerns -- Demonstrate courteous, cooperative and fair behavior with house supervisors and staff -- Requirements Experience -- 1 Year experience required -- 2 years of experience in healthcare, preferably in a house supervisor role or related to scheduling placement/staffing experience, with an emphasis on staffing and productivity. Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft System Office programs, including work, Excel, Power Point, Access or other database products desired. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential. Education -- Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's degree in nursing or clinical field- Required. License and Certifications -- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
