Job DescriptionJob Summary: The Internal Communications Senior Associate supports the development and implementation of plans and associated materials to communicate the surgical business unit's strategies, initiatives, culture and value to its employees.In this role, you serve as a communications advisor and storyteller providing input to and support for communications strategy development and execution for the surgical business unit's internal communications program. This energetic, creative and collaborative professional helps create story-based messaging, actionable plans, and creative content that enhances engagement and strengthens the company brand with internal stakeholders.Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute internal communications plan for surgical business unit with a strategy that is consistent and reflects the surgical business unit's strategic vision.
  • Develop communication materials using a variety of tactics (written communications, presentation materials, Zoom and other platforms, town halls, small group meetings, etc.) to articulate key messages.
  • Create engaging content from emails, company newsletters, PPTs, including digital content (social, video).
  • Manage virtual and in-person town hall and internal company events - agendas, speaker/resource coordination, content development (slides and speaking points), event planning and execution, reporting and improvements.
  • Creation & management of business unit intranet including content creation and maintenance, day-to-day management, and developing long term strategy for engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal partners (HR, executive team, operations, and marketing) to develop & strengthen internal communications plans.
  • Assist in community engagement efforts, coordinate, and promote employee volunteer activities, oversee employee board service program and philanthropy-related events.
  • Experiment with new, creative ways to reach employees with the news and information they care about and drive their engagement to support corporate initiatives. Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, marketing or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
    • Excellent writing, proofing and editorial skills. Fluent in AP Style.
    • Experience with TEAMS & Zoom online platformsPreferred
      • Strong project management skills
      • Ability to lead successful projects requiring cross-team collaboration and contributions
