What You Will Do
At Ascension Seton, we're using the power of purpose to change
healthcare for the better.
As a Registered Nurse in our NICU Department at Ascension Seton
Northwest, you will have the opportunity to provide direct nursing
care to patients in accordance with established policies,
procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. You will
make frequent utilization of your critical decision making skills,
as well as your innate assessment skills to gain a strong
understanding of your patients current and future needs. You will
then collaborate with the other members of your unique
interdisciplinary team to best determine the next step for your
patient. You will have autonomy in addition to the support and
collaboration of a full team of healthcare professionals.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records
and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for
well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs
with members of the healthcare team.
- You will do all of this while contributing to mission
effectiveness by promoting the spirit embodied with the Mission

with eight labor and delivery rooms and 16 post-partum rooms with
sleeping accommodations for the whole family.

What You Will Need
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association
(AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required
OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License,
and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Master of Science in Nursing
Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed Work
- 1 - 2 Yrs RN Experience Preferred Equal Employment
