Job Description:

Are you intrinsically driven, passionate about relationship building, and have an eye for land development and upcoming experiential trends? Then this position is for you! The Public/Private Partnership Manager is not your traditional sales or business development role. This position contributes to the development and execution of a functional business development strategy. Manages LCRA Park's business development activities, including the public/private partnership program and concessionaires. Leads strategic and management projects, including leisure destination developments, concessionaires and permits. Provides expertise and counsel related to external business partnerships for LCRA parks. In coordination with the director of LCRA parks, ensures business partnerships and contracts are mutually beneficial and promote the LCRA within its service territory and to park visitors.

  • Provides leadership and direction to staff. Hires, trains, assigns work, evaluates and manages the performance of staff in compliance with human resources policy and handles all aspects of staff supervision. Communicates with employees to ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of information.
  • Develops, motivates and leads team to achieve set goals.
  • Accurately projects concessionaire and project revenues.
  • Identifies innovative ideas for Park's business development by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
  • Acts as the LCRA Park's liaison on projects for all business partners. Answers inquiries, questions and concerns and assists with issue resolution. Communicates with business partners to provide services and offerings that meet customer needs and demands.
  • Recruits potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities that complement activities within the Parks department.
  • Assesses the business practices of partners. Develops a thorough understanding of the partner's business needs, operations, processes, and strategies.
  • Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships with partners to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Screens potential business opportunities by analyzing market strategies, requirements and financials; evaluating options; internal priorities and recommends equity investments for activities associated with parks and recreational programming.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying the integration of new ventures with LCRA Park's strategies and operations. Examines risks and opportunities while estimating partners' needs and goals.
  • Prepares or assists in developing contracts, proposals and/or memorandums of understanding (MOUs). Coordinates and assists in the technical review of contracts with internal stakeholders. Review agreement objectives to ensure that LCRA is able to meet or exceed those requirements.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements.
  • Coordinates with LCRA operational areas to ensure contract compliance and proper billing of services.

    Minimum Qualifications:Twelve or more years of experience in real estate development, public-private partnerships or related experience, including five or more years of supervisory experience. A degree(s) in business or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience. Driver's license
