Job Role and Responsibilities: VMware s Global Partner Enablement Team is seeking a Director of Global Sales Enablement, Dell Technologies Synergies, to lead sales enablement for Dell Technologies and VMware-badged sales profiles with the goal of driving accretive VMware bookings through the Dell Technologies route-to-market (RTM). This leader will collaborate across both VMware and Dell Technologies stakeholders to design and implement a thoroughly integrated enablement strategy across multiple customer-facing sales profiles to achieve and exceed both sales targets and business objectives. The Director will functionally report to the VMware Director of Worldwide Partner Enablement and Programs, with strong matrixed accountability to the Senior Director of Dell Technologies Synergy Sales Enablement & Activation The Director is responsible for working with Dell Technologies (DT)/VMware (VMW) sales & functional organization leadership, the VMware DT Synergy Acceleration Team (DSAT), and Enablement COEs globally to design, deploy and measure their sales enablement plan. The Director will engage and align with various cross-functional teams (instructional design, marketing, finance, operations, subject matter experts, etc.) to build and deliver programs that are scalable and tailored to key sales profiles and their responsibility to specific stages of the sales cycle. The Director, together with DT & VMW enablement and sales leadership, will explore and employ creative enablement design and delivery modes, including but not limited to virtual, on-demand, face-to-face, training, sales-led/peer-to-peer learning communities, etc. The successful applicant will have exemplary executive presence, communication and influencing skills, and proven ability to build and cultivate working partnerships at all organizational levels. Candidates must have a track record of managing planning cycles, accurately identifying and documenting enablement objectives, estimating cost, capacity and resource requirements to execute. In addition, they must measure and report impact, manage a budget and procurement processes, and have the ability to adapt programs to support the dynamic needs of the business. * Set vision and strategy for Dell Technologies enablement * Develop and execute strategy aligned to the synergy sales objectives of VMware s DSAT organization. * Design, execute and measure impact of a fully integrated X-company enablement plan; the plan must be aligned to and executed as part of broader DT and/or VMW sales enablement strategy to achieve maximum scale and impact * Lead a global team of enablement managers to ensure regional thought leadership and alignment while balancing global scale and consistency * Be the accountable conduit between VMW RACE. DT GSL&E and DSAT to leverage VMW & DT process and shared services to drive synergy bookings for DT & VMW. * Maintain learning content that is relevant to current DT/VMW synergy priorities both globally and regionally through collaboration with the BU/PG teams, VMW marketing, RACE and other key stakeholder groups across Dell Technologies and VMware. * Manage and distribute project KPIs, establish regular reporting and measurement cadence to desired outcomes * Conduct quarterly business reviews with key stakeholders. * Be the single POC for standard enablement bill of materials to ensure Field and Partner Ready standards are met * Create enablement strategies and learning paths for integrated solutions (vs products) Required Skills: Bachelor s degree or equivalent required; Post-secondary degree is a plus Minimum of +8 years experience leading a high-performing team and +10 years experience in program management in a sales environment 10+ years experience and deep expertise in sales, marketing, sales enablement in fast-paced, dynamic IT or related industry Successful & quantifiable track record of working cross functionally and cross-company Excellent communications and command skills Ability to assess resources required to achieve objectives, and influence to obtain budget/resources Ability to develop and operationalize metrics/KPI that align to the business objectives of DSAT, VMW & DT sales, and other key stakeholder groups Understanding of enablement/training methodologies and best practices Lead from the front: Take initiative, set priorities independently, develop and lead a cadence for collaboration, inspection and, if needed, course-correction
