Youll need to be adaptable, and come in with ideas, suggestions, and the attitude that youre willing to try just about anything. In a small team like ours, everyone wears a lot of hats, and nothing is not your job. The environment is dynamic, so youll also need to be flexible and adaptable to change as we grow.. What youll be doing. We are looking for a motivated VP of Talent who will play a key role in the growth of the Embark team as it continues to grow. This person will partner closely with the hiring managers and senior leadership to strategically identify, attract and retain the best talent. Ideally, you have a strong background in recruiting people with accounting and finance backgrounds and you have a broad network of professionals of current and Big 4 CPA's. You will have a true passion for people and culture, driven to develop yourself and those around you, and, of course, you must love helping our clients solve problems!. What you bring to the table. BA / BS degree in a business, accounting, finance or other relevant field. 4+ years experience of full cycle recruiting in a consulting environment, or if from the agency side you must have worked with in the accounting/finance. Accounting or finance background is highly preferred. Proactive approach to work, motivated to develop your skills. Experience sourcing candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, Google Boolean searches, networking events, and our careers page. A data driven mind with experience tracking and reporting key metrics designed to optimize sourcing strategies. Ability to work independently and handle a high volume of open positions at once. Attention to Detail. Being right the first time matters a lot to us. Strong communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external partners. Work well under pressure in a fast paced environment. Superior organizational skills and great follow through on tasks. Be a problem solver at heart with a genuine interest in learning by helping. Hustle. The company depends on us to deliver quickly, across time zones, and against severe deadlines. We need somebody not to keep the trains running on time, but to speed them up. Attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of the Embark brand overall. Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize based on business needs. Knowledge of Lever.co or similar ATS's would be a PLUS. Knowledge of Plum.io and the Culture Index would be a PLUS. What You'll be doing.... Provide an extremely positive, high-touch experience for any/all candidates throughout the entire interview process for the Dallas office. Implement best hiring practice and procedures for local team. Identify new and creative ways to build the Embark employment brand in the Dallas market including hosting and attending relevant events. Source both active and passive candidates through referrals, LinkedIn Recruiter, networking events, career fairs, university recruiting, and in-depth market research. Maintain our people database, Lever.co and use data from systems such as Plum.io and the Culture Index to drive hiring decisions. Own full life cycle of recruitment process from sourcing to phone screening to closing candidates. Act as People liaison for Dallas office including monitoring candidate experience and interview process to assisting with onboarding new hires. What's in it for you.
