Company seeks a talented, accomplished executive to build and lead our human resources team as we expand across the country. We desire a leader that can drive continuous improvement and high performance, leading the teammate lifecycle including talent acquisition, training and onboarding, development, compensation, performance management, engagement and retention strategies.

Reporting to President and CEO, the Vice President of Human Resources will join a leadership team determined to grow a national business. The Vice President of Human Resources will lead the human resources strategy for the entire urgent care business that currently spans more than 50 centers in 7 major markets with approximately 800 teammates; as well as support two corporate offices in Austin, TX and Lutherville, MD. Successful candidates will have a proven track record as a true strategic business partner capable of driving teammate engagement and empowerment, culture change, and helping other members of the leadership team evangelize our mission and vision centered on delivering an unsurpassed patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

As the strategic leader for the discipline, the Vice President of Human Resources designs, implements and administers a full suite of human resource and talent acquisition and development programs and policies that support and enrich a positive teammate experience, high performance culture and an attractive place to work; emphasizing communication, engagement, and empathy as our guiding principles.

The incumbent is passionate about teammate engagement and our patient centric culture. He/She will focus on all stages of the teammate lifecycle, including talent acquisition, performance management, training, development, compensation, benefits coordination and rewards and recognition. Located in our corporate headquarters in Austin, TX, and travelling across all markets about 25% of the time, the position will provide strategic discipline oversight for the urgent care business across all markets and manage multiple direct reports. The position owns regulatory compliance and plays a key role in the continued development of reporting requirements and administrative policy development.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

The ideal candidate demonstrates a high level of experience and proficiency in the following areas: A minimum of 10 years of strategic HR leadership experiences with at least five years of demonstrated success and increasing responsibility with an effective and respected organization proud of its distinctive, high performance culture. Experience managing a multi-site organization within healthcare services, retail, hospitality, food service, airline or other form of consumer-oriented workforce management is strongly preferred. Ability to partner with both the executive leadership team and field based management to establish priorities and deliver results. Previous experience developing a complete suite of human resources, plans, policies and regulatory compliance requirements, supporting a patient centric culture. Proven ability to translate business priorities into HR strategies, plans and actions and persuasively lead the discipline towards swift and consistent execution. Strong HR Generalist discipline knowledge with previous experience of managing several direct reports in various locations. Setting the enterprise wide strategy and correlating activities of the recruiting team to ensure adequate human capital resources are available commensurate with the company’s expansion plans, expectations for turnover, business volume maturing and related resource requirements. Supporting the enhancement of meaningful onboarding and continuing education curricula and optimization of appropriate learning modalities. Effective oral and written communicator across the company- spanning career medical assistants and physicians to c-suite executives. Comfortable designing and editing key teammate communications and synthesize key themes of workplace opportunities to senior level leaders, while being able to build rapid rapport with team members with diverse cultural backgrounds. Sound business judgment, a high degree of personal motivation and very strong work ethic. Comfort with the ambiguity of a high-growth environment and, consistent with an early stage company, willing to pitch-in as needed to make the team successful. Education:

The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline. SHRM, SPHR, or CHHR certification is required and an MBA preferred.
