financial and business affairs for the Enrollment Management
portfolio (Office of Admissions, Office of the Registrar, Office of
Scholarships & Financial Aid, and Texas One Stop) overseeing and
providing leadership for budget, financial and human resources
operations. Develop and streamline business processes in accordance
with applicable regulations/procedures. Responsibilities
- Oversees and evaluate financial activities of the Enrollment
Management (EM) portfolio including budgeting, forecasting,
reporting, account reconciliations, purchasing, payables, and
receivables in accordance with applicable regulations, policies,
and procedures. Prepare income projections and manage endowed
accounts. Monitor and maintain accurate and up-to-date budgets and
accounts for appropriated funds, endowments, gifts, grants, and
revenue.
- Develop recurring and ad hoc operational, financial, and
statistical reports from various data sources using a variety of
advanced data processing and analysis techniques. Integrate
appropriate financial and non-financial data into consolidated
reports to aid management decisions at all levels of the
department. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial and
budget reports.
- Supervise finance and HR leads. Ensure internal controls are
maintained and EM staff are trained on and compliant with relevant
procedures, practices, and policies.
- Oversee human resources administration. Support efficient,
compliant, and timely delivery of services including providing
advice on workforce planning and executing approved strategies,
benchmarking, managing employee relations matters, supporting
employee engagement initiatives, and other human resources matters.
Collaborate with Provost and UT HR offices.
- Serve as EM point of contact for centralized business
processing units including procurement, payments, and HR
transactions. Ensure accurate and complete information is provided
to processing units and all review/approvals required from the EM
team are conducted in a timely manner. Troubleshoot issues that may
emerge in collaboration with leads for centralized processes.
- Conduct and participate in special projects, as assigned. Use
independent judgment, financial and data analysis tools, knowledge
of Federal, State and University requirements and procedures in the
enrollment management space, and resourcefulness to develop and
implement detailed project plans. Operate with a high degree of
autonomy and establish strategic direction for multiple
functions.

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting,
economics, finance or similar field.
- Eight or more years of professional level accounting,
financial, and budget management experience.
- Progressively responsible experience in planning, forecasting,
financial analysis and accurate report production.
- Experience working in financial administration in an academic
environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Cognos,
Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of human resources practices and processes.
- Ability to problem solve and research financial inquiries.
- Experience managing confidential information with tact and
discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and perform
multiple tasks.
- Professional demeanor.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to show initiative and strong work ethic.
- Ability to exercise sound independent judgment and
diplomacy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Relevant
education and experience may be substituted as
appropriate.Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preparing financial models utilizing student cohorts
or student tuition and financial aid information.
- Five or more years in a financial or budget management position
at UT Austin.
- Thorough knowledge of the university's financial account
structure and budgeting and financial processes.
- Proficient in UT-Austin business systems (financial and student
academic data).
- Experience creating, managing and tracking financial
commitments.
- Experience providing or managing human resources services in a
department or unit. Salary Range$120,000 + depending on
qualificationsWorking Conditions

- Work hours between 7 am and 6 pm to be coordinated with
supervisor
- Overtime or night work may be required during peak
periods.
