Details:PurposeDevelop, implement and manage comprehensive,
multi-source academic health system financial plan and activities
as well as forecasting and budgeting for significant
growth.Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary financial lead for analyzing new business
and financial proposals, capital investments, and business and
academic program opportunities, in collaboration with senior
leadership & the Planning & Business Development team.
- Develop new administrative, policy and financial structures to
support the next phase of the Medical School's development and
growth. This includes building a long-term economic forecasting
model to support and illustrate the strategic plan and vision for
the Medical School.
- Support Medical School domains with financial planning,
contract management and risk mitigation in alignment with senior
leadership. Manage the annual budgeting process from a strategic
and oversight perspective.
- Supervise the Financial Reporting and Procurement/Purchasing
functions of the Medical School. Ensure appropriate oversight and
accounting controls are in place.
- Supervise the UTHA Clinical Finance team.
- Other related duties as assigned.Required
QualificationsBachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in
roles of increasing seniority and complexity. Management experience
in a healthcare academic setting. Ability to communicate with
others in a clear and professional manner. Effective project
management skills, including the ability to plan, organize and
schedule work in an efficient and productive manner, focusing on
key priorities and meeting deadlines. Proven ability to interact
with peers, executives, and other vendors in a manner that
represents the Dell Medical School positively. Ability to build and
lead high-performing teams. Exhibit sound judgment in
decision-making. Proven ability to learn and apply new information,
knowledge and experiences in a timely manner.Ability to be flexible
and adaptable to change. Ability to work on multiple tasks and
projects and to prioritize. Effective organizational skills and
attention to detail; effective follow-through, and commitment to
excellence. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as
