Job Details:
Purpose
This position will lead and coordinate the delivery of high
quality, team-based, patient/family centered and developmentally
appropriate patient care and provide administrative oversight of
the Dell Medical School's condition based Institutes, other patient
services and clinical and business operations.
Responsibilities
* Resolve patient needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team
strategies. Perform clinical and non-clinical skills proficiently
and in accordance with policies and procedures. Coordinate and
participate in providing direct and indirect patient care.
* Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team in the planning of
patient care. Demonstrate the ability to work with people from
diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Direct, supervise and
coordinate the daily operations at the clinic in a manner that
appropriately supports patient care and collaborates with other
health care providers. Organize the clinic space to improve
efficiency and flow.
* Responsible for knowledge, implementation, and compliance with
the organization's policies and procedures to ensure efficient and
consistent operations of the site. Manage staff-train, supervise,
coach, and discipline staff as necessary (education,
certifications, evaluation, and attendance).
* Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams by
communicating information; responding to requests; building
rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods. Perform
patient assessments/reassessments including triaging. Develop and
Implement staffing plans which support patient experience and
staff, along with optimal operations.
* Ensure site is in compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, State and
Federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Coordinate with senior staff for quality and compliance. Manage
point of care testing (laboratory) compliance and regulations,
nursing care quality, and medical record documentation for
compliance.
* Manage the acquisition, storage and maintenance of vaccines and
maintains supporting documentation and records. Manage supplies,
ordering and storage, communication with vendors as needed,
including maintenance/annual inspection of equipment.
* Coordinate with Pharmacy staff to maintain compliance and
documentation for formulary, sample inventory and prescription
assistance programs. Schedule and lead staff meetings to discuss
issues, policies and procedures, and staff development.
* Develop a culture of quality customer service and serves as an
advocate for patients/caregivers. Participate in operational budget
development and monitoring.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five years' experience in healthcare clinical
operations, with at least three years in a leadership role in an
outpatient /clinic setting. Valid Texas RN license; BLS
certification required. Requires strong analytical, organizational
and problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal
communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced
multi-physician practice environment; Ability to develop, and
maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff,
and patients. Advanced knowledge of healthcare administration is
essential. Must have the ability to deal effectively with patients,
medical staff, administration and the public. Must have excellent
skills in planning, organizing and delegating. Familiarity with all
business office machine, i.e., computer, Microsoft word tools,
multi-line phones, copier and fax machines. Must be energetic,
organized, dependable, detail oriented, able to work in a fast
paced environment.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as
appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in nursing or related field.
Salary Range
$100,000+ depending on qualifications
