SUMMARY: Part of a team to service 95% of the account base. - Performs a wide variety of duties for a large number of accounts, serves as the customer point of contact with a primary goal of providing World Class Service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: -Other duties may be assigned. -

• Primary point of contact with existing small to medium size customers maintaining customer relationships.
• Enhance current business relationships to maintain and identify opportunities to increase revenue/sales potential.
• Aids customer base as necessary with questions on product application, pricing, credit terms, and availability, and confers with engineering and production as necessary to provide technical assistance. -
• Provides regular pricing to include quantity discounts within guidelines. -
• Responsible for accurately entering new customer data, sales data, and customer orders.
• Estimates date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of production, materials and delivery schedules.
• Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries, warranty, replacement, and/or adjustments. -
• Responsible to regularly communicate with outside sales, marketing, management, and ensures all departments are aware of significant customer developments. -
• Reviews open orders, change orders, and expedite requests for potential problems and advises customer accordingly. -
• May perform minimal clerical duties to support the sales and service efforts of the customer service department.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - Requires knowledge typically acquired through:
  • Completion of a two year Associates Degree or vocational degree,
  • Three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. -
  • Ability to exercise tact, decorum, comprehension, good judgment, persuasiveness, and diplomacy with internal and external customers, to become familiar with policies, procedures and applications of connector products. -
  • Strong analytical abilities and keen attention to details.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. -
