Job/Position DescriptionThis position is on the ITSM team within the Service Management Office/Center of Excellence (SMO/COE) function and reports to the ITSM Director. This position will help manage, evolve and transform all ITSM operations for the agency in a coordinated and collaborative way with other team members and other functional units. This position will require working knowledge of ITSM best practices, BMC Remedy and practical experience. Service Now and other ITSM vendor experience a plus.Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.Participates in the Configuration Management practice to understand requirements. Analyzes current assessments, operational efforts and provides recommendations for improvements to all operational processes.Design and development of Configuration Management best practices for the organization.Develop collaborative project plans for best implementation and adoption of a service-oriented Configuration Management Database and a Configuration Management System for the organization. Drives steady state and continuous improvement in the ITSM operations support of the organization.Participates in other related valued discussion to understand requirements and ITSM operations managementProactively engages with knowledge manager and all other department stakeholders for comprehensive configuration management solutions and practices towards development of a SKMS.Documents process, procedures and work instructions.Contributes to Organization Change Management (OCM) needs for the organization. Registrations, Licensure Requirements or CertificationsITIL Foundation certification required, advanced certification strongly preferred including BRM, project management and BMC technology certifications.
