DescriptionAt Macmillan Learning, the health and safety of our employees and contract staff is a top priority. The position is eligible for remote employment; it will exclude the following locations: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Hawaii, Mississippi, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
The Student Engagement Account Manager is responsible for helping support the Enterprise Solutions Specialist in their efforts to increase sales of iClicker, student retention solutions and institution-based solutions, including hardware and software products, within an assigned territory of two and four-year accounts. Primary responsibilities include supporting Enterprise Solutions Specialists by retaining existing customers, initiating sales engagement with potential customers, generating leads for new business and providing support to new and existing customers. The Student Engagement Account Manager will travel to campus to promote student retention solutions and institution-based solutions and conduct presentations, training sessions and events, as needed, in collaboration with the Enterprise Solutions Specialist.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Proactively contact existing customers to retain/roll existing business at the course level
  • Conduct field-based sales presentations, as needed
  • Support assigned territory with an inside sales approach
  • Follow-up on closed/lost opportunities in Macmillan courses to promote standalone iClicker sales
  • Work closely with Enterprise Solutions Specialist on account collaboration to research and identify key contacts
  • Utilize CRM to execute inside sales campaigns, review customer data, update sales information and enter activity
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Solutions Specialist to generate leads, conduct account research, support customers and develop team-based sales strategies
  • Partner with marketing, product and client services to develop successful strategies designed to gain market share
  • Provide ongoing research and feedback on classroom technology trends to stakeholders, including sales, marketing and product teams
  • Execute virtual sales training

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Minimum 3 years of Higher Education Publishing or equivalent experience with proven track record
    • Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email and conduct virtual product demonstrations

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Enterprise sales experience

        Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000
