Job Description:

The GAMURS Group is seeking a capable Sales Director (SD) to join the commercialisation team in our journey to redefine gaming and entertainment media. The SD will be responsible for selling campaigns on wegotthiscovered.com and themarysue.com.

They will achieve their targets by helping advertisers connect to an audience of 18M MAU entertainment fans and be able to access the GAMURS Group network of 55M MAU to provide their clients solutions.

The client solutions already include standard display ad campaigns, content marketing, social marketing and content distribution.

The SD will be supported with product marketing generating leads, a range of systems such as comScore and Media Radar, best of breed CRM and all of the tools required to succeed. There is an existing book of business of around 300k USD with a huge opportunity to significantly increase direct sales.

The successful candidate will report directly to the VP of Commercialisation (VP). The SD is someone who will have experience in executing on sales strategies to achieve new business sales, both phone based and in person, appointment booking, conducting client meetings, data analysis, and relationship management to achieve revenue targets. They will receive guided support and involvement from the VP.

Experience

  • 4+ year experience in a media sales role in the entertainment sector
  • Strong communicator, negotiator, and influencer
  • Strong capabilities in fostering business partnerships and generating sales
  • Proven track record in driving revenue and sales from the entertainment sector
  • Literate in digital advertising sales - including programmatic direct
  • Experience of content marketing desirable
  • Sales history in the entertainment sector desirable
  • Must be comfortable in building out a territory

    The Sales Director position is made up of three core competencies:
  • Direct Sales (Sales, deal fulfilment, outreach and product marketing).
  • Customer Success (ensuring sustainable revenue is written and campaigns are managed to produce repeat business, etc)
  • General account activities (invoice collection, improving business relationships, negotiating partnerships, etc)

    1. Direct Sales

    The Sales Director U.S. is responsible for the daily tasks to achieve target whilst working directly with the VP to ensure the territory is cost-efficient and profitable each month. This role includes achieving sales targets, managing IOs, and working with agencies and direct clients to generate deal flow. The SD is also responsible for participating in the weekly sales meeting, organizing their monthly forecasts, maintaining their CRM, keeping track of all direct sales made, calculating capacity of inventory within their territory, ensuring campaigns are fulfilled, updating the case studies, and liaising with other departments to ensure all direct and indirect activities are completed.

    2. Customer Success

    The SD will oversee all sales activity to the entertainment websites in the US. The SD will ensure that we generate, fulfill, optimise and manage sales deliverables effectively to ensure client satisfaction. All activities should be conducted to generate long term relationships. The SD will be responsible for communicating customer pain points to the VP and larger business. The SD, in conjunction with the wider business, will work to resolve and remove these pain points from future transactions.

    3. General Commercialisation

    The Sales Director will work alongside the VP to manage the general commercialisation within the Entertainment sites.

    Job Responsibilities (non-exhaustive)

    1. To work with the VP to develop key milestones, objectives, and strategy for the GAMURS group entertainment sites revenue generation. Responsible for managing the daily execution of the strategy.

    2. Execute the daily responsibilities related to the direct sales streams, such as:
    • Achieve targets
    • Implement robust sales management processes - pipeline, account planning, and proposals
    • Participate in the weekly sales meeting
    • Create a standardized process outreach for current and future clients and coordinate its implementation across sales channels, client management, and marketing and communications
    • Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth
      3. Execute the daily responsibilities related to the general commercialisation of the territory
      • Refining, improving, and developing processes relevant to revenue generation and efficiency
      • Prospect and close relationships with key target clients
      • Collect all revenue in a timely manner
      • Create fortnightly revenue forecasts for the month
      • Close off the month of revenue and provide it to corporate and operations
      • Create, send, and track invoices
      • Create case studies when relevant and keep them updated
      • Ensure client success is met and resolve issues when they arise
      • Manage and maintain the CRM
        4. Working with corporate/operations teams to ensure all generated revenue is accounted for properly in financial accounts

        5. Fortnightly reviews of revenue performance and projections

        6. Assist VP with all other required initiatives and tasks
