About the team
The Consumer payments and Care team has driven hyper-growth inonline subscriptionsthrough the deployment of an in-streaming,on-TV purchase experience. All of these sales are direct-to-consumer (DTC/D2C). Multiple teams across Roku have parallel initiatives, across multiple consumer surfaces, including TV, web, mobile, and voice, to sell directly. These parallel teams have built unique approaches for selling access to digital content Subscription Video on Demand/Transactional Video on Demand (SVOD/TVOD), company branded devices, and shoppable on-device ads. Each team has deployed a commerce stack for discovery, personalization, and commerce services.
The leader in this role will re-imagine, deploy, drive, and own the creation and implementation of a commerce platform to address the unique needs of direct-to-consumer initiatives across Roku. The platform this leader establishes willenable Roku to effectively: differentiate products sold direct-to-consumer from other distribution channels; enable sales through other digital platforms; and, expand into non-US markets. This product leader will lead other product leaders through thought leadership and influence, driving results in a 0 to 1 approach.
About the role
The successful candidate will be motivated by the ability to play a significant role in ensuring that Roku is successful in scaling its direct-to-consumer businesses while continuing its long-held reputation of exceeding customer expectations. The ideal candidatehas end-to-end experiencein eCommerce, including shopping carts, checkout flows, fulfillment services, inventory management, and order management. Skills in migrating older platforms into a new platform are also very useful. An understanding of related services, such as billing & payments, analytics and operations, and follow-on customer care is also a strong plus. Experience in scaling an eCommerce platform globally and on mobile apps is preferred.
We're looking for leaders who are passionate about providing exceptional products, thinking globally, and innovating on behalf of Roku and its customers.The candidate is a seasoned product manager, with an understanding of common platform architecture, a head for business, and a pragmatic, data-driven, strategic approach to problem-solving.They will have the ability to influence leaders across different business and functional teams. They will have proven the ability to establish credibility at the executive level and with key partners and experience gaining consensus and approval for product planning efforts across multiple functional leaders.
What you'll be doing

  • Drive product management for Commerce initiatives across several business areas and countries
  • Design common features for commerce, across multiple direct-to-consumer initiatives
  • Create detailed feature guides that capture business use cases, goals, anticipated KPIs and requirements.
  • Prioritize roadmap based on overall company goals

    We're excited if you have

    • 8+ years in a senior product management role within DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) eCommerce.
    • Experience with commerce platforms such as Shopify, Big Commerce, Adobe Commerce (Magento)
    • Experience with MarTech platforms such as Braze
    • Understanding of physical fulfillment integrations
    • Data driven and pragmatic with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
    • Experience with agile methodology and processes.
    • Ability to present and convey key insights effectively to executive management.
    • Ability to engage business leaders in thoughtful debates on issues, plans, and solutions.
    • Flexible to changing development cycles and to maintain calm in the face of uncertainty.
    • Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate teams outside of your direct purview.
    • Experience with Asana, Confluence, Jira, Miro, and Airtable a plus.
    • MS/BS ideally in Computer Science/Engineeringand/or business administration.
