Manager of Digital & Direct Channel is a strategic hands-on product
leader who will play a key role in promoting the overall product,
vision, planning, integrations, and management for our third party
digital and direct channels that utilize our APIs and
platform-as-a-service (PaaS) to offer and manage workers
compensation insurance. This is a new and exciting opportunity that
represents explosive growth potential to drive new customers and
revenue through a growing digital ecosystem. This Sr. Product
Manager role requires an experienced growth minded collaborative
product leader who can rapidly transform and scale the business and
underlying technology from where it is today. The Sr. Product
Manager is a highly effective hands-on, strategic "thinker" and an
effective "doer" that will collaborate with peers to steward
digitally focused products and services. This role will be
responsible for supporting market and competitive analysis, product
vision and objectives, understanding customer personas and
challenges, roadmapping, participate in product design, writing
user stories and acceptance criteria, conduct backlog grooming and
sprint planning, establish and monitor success criteria and KPIs,
and GTM. This Sr. Product Manager is expected to deliver the
digital product and business transformations, working with
cross-functional teams, in support of the greater goals of the
organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with internal and external customers to co-develop
a roadmap and drive products and features from concept to launch in
a fast-paced environment.
- Understand system interdependencies and collaborate across
Agile teams; develop knowledge of/experience with underwriting,
claims, policy admin systems preferred.
- Works with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders,
including analytics to define product functionality, scalability,
configuration, and deployment requirements
- Assist with business cases to evaluate and determine best
technology (e.g., build/buy/partner) and/or assist with overall
solution business cases
- Turns user and data insights into products with actionable
outcomes to the ultimate customer.
- Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the
business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and
deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks.
- Work with the product teams, engineering teams, development
teams, and other stakeholders to create an API strategy
- Develops, owns, and executes product roadmap, backlog, sprint
planning and GTM.
- Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product
requirements including features, epic and user stories, and user
acceptance test criteria.
- Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog for assigned
products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
- Works with designers in defining the product based on an
intimate knowledge of the users and technology.
- Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and reporting of
product performance post-launch to evaluate future
investment.
- Support as a point of contact for the business and end users in
order to address questions and provide sales enablement and
technical support.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in product management, computer science, or
related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years' experience in digital product ownership of enterprise
product portfolios or product suites used by internal and external
customers; insurance industry experience preferred
- 5 years of experience in Agile and scrum processes and product
development
- Knowledge of/experience with insurance lifecycle and its
supporting systems
- Demonstrated experience in creating an API strategy and working
with a development team to design, build, test, deploy, market,
monitor, and improve APIs
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to
extensively analyze business processes and workflows
- Experience developing product vision, goals, objectives,
strategies, and business requirements
- Experience in digital transformation and leading market
analysis
- Excellent business/client engagement skills
- Experience facilitating workshops and focus groups
- Experience developing instructional and procedural
documentation and presentations
- High level of competence with MS Office, Atlassian suite, JIRA,
and Lucidcharts
- Certification as a scrum master and/or product owner is a
plus
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be
substituted for the requirements listed above. Pay Range: $100,000
to $122,500 HP22
- Bachelors degree in product management, computer science, or
