Strong understanding of key components of the PC platform - microprocessor, instruction set architecture, PC architecture, peripherals, GPU, memory subsystem, display/codecs, Windows operating system fundamentals, BIOS and FW operation, power and performance tradeoffs, PC workloads (games, productivity apps, content creation apps etc.), understanding of PC eco-system (ODMs/OEMs, peripheral components, interoperability, form factors, signal integrity basics etc., ability to learn new upcoming technologies such as inference processing, advanced image processing, codec technologies etc.Interpersonal Skills - Ability to communicate.   • Drive new initiatives to enhance strategy and strengthen competitive edge (power/performance/feature set competitiveness)

  • Set direction and priorities to achieve program goals - predictable execution of portfolio of CPU/GPU/chipset products with full software/firmware integration

    • Previous management of PC client systems team or architecture team (responsibility for delivering major PC components through development and/or integration at system level - operating system, proto development of new CPU based platform, use of latest generation memory technologies, PCIe connectivity solutions, USB/SSD peripherals, variety of form factors (from 6W up to 300+ watts), integration of Silicon, FW, BIOS to deliver new experiences. Technical depth including proficiency with x86 Assembly, C, and C# and experience with relevant codebases and revision management software
    • Knowledge of x86 and/or ARM Architecture, PCIe interconnect up to Gen5, memory subsystem up to DDR5 and future, USB technology up to USB4 and future, display technology details, BIOS and FW architecture fundamentals, integration, working closely with customers (ODMs, OEMs) and partners (operating system vendors, application software vendors)
    • Product development and delivery experience, development/validation/debug methodologies for high effectiveness and efficiency, experience working with cross-geo engineering teams, ability to engage with teams on low level technical details Academic Credentials
      • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or another comparable field
