Senior Engagement Manager - Healthcare

Our team of quantitative market research specialists support all phases of a client engagement, from scoping and questionnaire design to panel selection, quality review, and data interpretation and visualization to meet our client's objectives.

GLG's Healthcare Research business helps various biopharma, biotech, healthcare services, and other life science clients by providing them with the insights that they need to make great decisions and successful investments. The team leverages quantitative and qualitative research capabilities, in concert with the world's largest and most varied source of first-hand expertise, to deliver powerful insights that inform our clients' decisions in a timely and thorough manner.

GLG is seeking a Senior Engagement Manager to own responsibility for leading and growing GLG's Research business, focused on serving our Healthcare clients. You will be responsible for helping to design research projects for GLG's sophisticated client base, and for overseeing a team to carry out those projects to extremely high standards. Typically, GLG research projects are designed to help clients qualify and quantify industry and market trends through pipeline analyses, commercial assessments, product forecasting, and general marketplace investigation. You will be motivated to employ research design at a fast pace across a wide variety of topics, helping young professionals grow and excel, while owning and growing client relationships.

Specific Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)

  • Manage a small team of project managers with the design and facilitation of customized surveys targeting a wide variety of specialized topics and populations
  • Creating effective partnerships across business functions, helping to advance relationships and outcomes within GLG
  • Translating complex client problems into components and actionable research objectives
  • Lead the execution and delivery of customized survey products to GLG's Healthcare clients
  • Support commercial success client interaction and excellent project delivery
  • Train and mentor early-career research professionals
  • Work with clients and internal partners to increase awareness of and confidence in GLG QI's capabilities
  • Providing perspectives (methodology, industry, or client insights) to clients throughout the project lifecycle including the ability to direct to alternate or multiple methodologies where appropriate
  • Develop, implement and enforce best practices for project execution
    You Will Have The Following
    • Bachelor's degree or higher
    • 4-6 years of market research and survey experience, including experience with online survey platforms (Decipher, Qualtrics, etc.)
    • 3+ years of experience within client service and/or project management with a preference for a market research or consulting background
    • 1+ years of people management experience
      We would love if you also have some of these qualifications:
      • Market research experience within the LifeScience/Healthcare industry
      • Experience analyzing results and/or communicating quantitative research methodologies and capabilities
      • Experience with statistical techniques
      • Experience leading teams and developing junior members
      • Experience collaborating with team-members in a high-throughput, deadline-driven, process-oriented, client-servicing environment
      • A demonstrated strong understanding of the Healthcare/Lifesciences industry
