Director of Cardiovascular Services Opportunity:
TalentWell is seeking a well-versed and strategic leader who is

Cardiovascular Services will work within a multi-specialty hospital
located in Austin, Texas. The Director of Cardiovascular Services
will be committed to ensuring effective operation within their
department to achieve organization goals and objective. This role
participates in providing patient specific care standards and
following service excellence standards to ensure high levels of
patient satisfaction. This is a rewarding and exciting opportunity
for one of the largest national healthcare systems.
Full time, permanent W2 role
Monday-Friday, Day Shift schedule
Compensation is based on experience/employment tenure, Mid-Point is
$173,000/year + incentivized leadership bonuses

Director of Cardiovascular Services Essential Job Functions:
Complies with hospital/departmental policies and procedures, i.e.,
attendance, mandatory education, safety, infection control,
Administers and analyze goals and objectives for work unit(s). Meet
organizational goals. Take proactive view and anticipates change
and need for action.
Prepares departmental budget, projecting reasonable activity levels
and expenses required to achieve approved net margin for work
unit(s). Operate work unit(s) within approved budget.
Maintains compliance with current regulation/requirements of
outside regulatory/accrediting agencies and assures that new
requirements are identified on a timely basis and coordinates
Demonstrates understanding of Process Improvement. Promotes the
systematic assessment and improvement of performance. Continuously
assesses and improves the performance of care and services provided
by using information available from customers (i.e., patients,
staff, physicians, and employees), to improve outcomes.
Demonstrates high ethical standards in business practices. Actively
support organizational goals and changes as they occur.
Communicates goals in positive, supportive manner.
Guides, directs, and plans the organization and coordination of the
department activities in the areas of responsibility.
Actively participates in Hospital and Departmental committees and
group meetings with a focus on providing input regarding improving
the quality of patient care services in the facility.
Conducts monthly department meetings to keep staff informed.
Insures that there is a complete flow of information through the
Complies with Employee Health and Injury policy/protocol. Complies
with all emergency codes, disaster protocols, infection control
protocols, and safety protocols. Ensures staff attends
required/mandatory in-services and that staff receives continuing
education to remain current in their field.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to
patients and families served in relation to growth and development
over the life span to identify their requirements relative to
Director of Cardiovascular Services Knowledge, Skills and
Associates Degree in area of expertise required, 3 years cardiology
experience and 3 years health care management experience
BLS and ACLS certification
Experience with metrics reporting
Cath lab experience
Preferred: CMRT, CVT, Certified Radiologic Technologist, ARRT,
RCIS, RVT or ARRT (certification in vascular function). If none of
the "preferred" licensure/certification (listed above) are
applicable, position requires a minimum of six years Director
experience in lieu of licensure/certification
Director of Cardiovascular Services Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move about the facility, squat, reach, pull lift,
use hands and fingers, and do other fine motor tasks.
Must be able to speak, write, and understand English.
Occasionally will have to lift up to 50 LBS.
