Role and Responsibilities Samsung's business strategy requires a world class supply chain that nimbly supports fast-changing consumer behavior and business growth goals. Achieving these ambitious goals often requires significant changes to existing organizations, processes, and systems. To that end, t his candidate will lead the development and implementation of Samsung's Supply Chain Strategy and its operational execution. The role will be measured on strategy creation and execution, but more importantly, tangible P&L, balance sheet, and companywide metric impacting results from the above.The role will expand the supply chain strategy team's influence and engagement with SVP and VP level leaders of key product categories, customers, and service providers. This person will be leading a team of strategy professionals to accomplish these goals. We are seeking someone who will c hallenge the status quo in search of new processes, ideas, technology to deliver on growth and improve competitive position. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop members of the Supply Chain team as well as securing cross functional resources for large scale improvement programs
  • Rebuild the Home Appliance supply chain to support new capabilities such as fixed day delivery, final mile & install
  • Lead selection and install of end to end SCM planning and execution system with new technologies (AI, BlockChain, automated deliveries, autonomous CPFR)
  • Representing Samsung as an executive leader at industry venues and events
  • Negotiate with 3rd Party Service Providers
  • Provide strategic supply chain direction to SEA leadership
  • Analyze P&L impacts of strategic customer projects, presenting findings to the CFO and CEO
  • Use supply chain offerings to change the conversation with customers from transactional to strategic
  • Perform project and concept sales pitches to the customer on behalf of account teams
  • Convince customers to operate with more transparency, openly sharing sensitive data
  • Guide a team to solve complex internal and customer supply chain problems
  • Be accountable for the decisions made by and contributions of the SCM Strategy team Skills and Qualifications
    • 15+ years' experience in fields such as strategy, consulting, supply chain analysis/optimization
    • 7+ Years' Managerial (Team Leadership) Experience
    • Bachelor's degree required; MBA is a plus
    • In depth knowledge of retail, consumer electronics and/or wireless is a plus
    • Strong financial acumen, and P&L Management a plus
    • Experience in leading indirect cross functional resources in a matrix organization
    • The ability to negotiate in a potentially adversarial environment
    • Ability to make decisions, to give direction, and to measure individual/team performance
    • Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues and generate results
