The ams OSRAM Digital (DI) business drives the transformation of ams OSRAM's lighting businesses. DI brings all lighting applications together - from drivers and modules to controls and software, from entertainment and industry lamps to state-of-the-art horticulture solutions and dynamic light. Your new responsibilities Fluence is seeking a senior-level Manufacturing Operations leader with global experience, and proven capabilities in managing high profile, high value change programs in the manufacturing industry. This would include driving a Lean/6 Sigma/Continuous Improvement culture, preparing the Austin site to be the primary source for High Mix/Low Volume Manufacturing, NPD/NPI activities, as well as support for product Innovation programs. The position will also be responsible for managing the external Contract Manufacturing engagements, where volume manufacturing will be accomplished, with a global footprint. product transfers from site to site, organizational restructuring programs, also supporting and driving new product introduction.The functional scope of this role will include the following:---&& &Production---&& &Manufacturing Engineering---&& &Facilities&The expectations of the individual:---&& &Leadership and Communication - ensures efficient, targeted communication structure. Holds feedback sessions, agrees targets with project staff and designed delegates, facilitates and monitors effective team collaboration, comfortable communicating through all levels of the organization.---&& &Continuous Improvement - drives the creation of a process based, data driven, Continuous improvement culture, heavy on employee engagement, driving/coordinating the development of processes and systems required to support this culture.---&& &Project Planning - is actively involved in project initiation, analysing project requirements and project business plans. &Develops project proposals, including resource plans, project budgets and timelines. Ensures all risks are highlighted and proactively pursued.---&& &Change Management - reviews and determines impact and acceptance for all changes to scope, strategy, or project deliverables. &Proactively informs suppliers, management and project staff of any deviations.---&& &Financial Management - ensures visibility and engagement both within, as well as external to, the Manufacturing Operations team, to overall Manufacturing Operations financial performance What we look for Required Qualifications:bull; 10-15 years in a variety of roles w/in a Global manufacturing environment, 5-10 years in a management role, including work in a matrixed environment. Hands on experience within an ERP.bull; Experience in a high growth environment, including significant Change Leadership experience across People/Process/Systems, creating a process based, data driven culture, and driving BPI.bull; Leadership experience across both internal and outsourced manufacturing environments, including both CM's (contract manufacturer) and ODM's (original device manufacturer)bull; Certified Black Belt, with practical experience in the use of Lean/6 Sigma tools, and the associated quality toolsbull; Experience supporting NPI (new product introduction) programsbull; Strong people, technical and analytical skills, superb written and oral communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in global team environments.bull; Education: Bachelor's Degree required (Business or Engineering); Master's Degree preferredPreferred Qualifications:bull; Experience with Facilities Managementbull; Proven Analytics experience (collecting and analysing data, using data to prioritize and drive action)bull; Significant experience using quality tools, and ability to engage and/or lead ndash; Kaizen events, 8D process, participate in FMEA of DFx)bull; Experience with the implementation of ISO9000 or TS16949 systemsbull; Customer engagement experiencebull; Global exposureams OSRAM is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
