Location Austin, Texas, United States; Westlake, Texas, United States; Phoenix, Arizona, United States; San Francisco, California, United States; Chicago, Illinois, United States Requisition ID 2021-68079 Category Executive Position Type Regular The Head of Digital Advice will serve as the general manager of our $60Bn offers, including Schwab Intelligent Portfolios, our fully automated investing service, and Schwab Intelligent Portfolios Premium, our automated investing service plus comprehensive planning and unlimited access to CFPs. Across the Digital Advice industry, assets under management are expected to show a significant growth rate over the next 5 years, projecting $1.9T in 2025, with an annual growth in double digits. Schwab is positioned to continue being a leader, as the first to launch subscription pricing for advice and first to launch an automated way to generate a paycheck across multiple accounts. At the same time, ensuring a healthy and scalable platform is equally as important, with over 400,000 accounts, as we scale to $100Bn. To lead us, the Vice President must have excellent client experience instincts, strong risk management skills, and the ability to inspire the team with a compelling strategy and vision. This must be coupled with an obsession with driving the growth of the products. The VP will coordinate across a wide range of stakeholders to maximize our marketing, technology, and risk management in Schwab Intelligent Portfolios (SIP) and Schwab Intelligent Portfolios Premium (SIPP). Additionally, the VP will lead the product design, client experience, development, risk, and operations. This role will be responsible for enabling a healthy, scalable product while also innovating to launch new features and capabilities to support best in class digital experiences for retail clients, while also creating utilities that will eventually be leveraged across the firm. This is an extremely high-profile role within Schwab. What you are good at The successful VP will ensure Schwab maintains its leadership role in digital advice as this segment of our industry rapidly grows. The scope ranges from defining and executing the strategy, client communications, and partnering with marketing to ensure both our brand and products are well positioned to new and existing clients alike. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Comprehensive understanding of the product development lifecycle, where to improve, govern, and fill gaps to ensure a healthy and scalable platform
• Providing a strategy and vision of digital advice
• Defining the client experience for SIP and SIPP, in partnership with the platform management team and planning consulting teams and other partners.
• Strong attention to detail as it relates to risk management, governance, and institutionalizing processes
• Establishing and obtaining commitment to business goals, while constructively motivating people and implementing strategies to achieve superior business results, including quality and productivity.
• Developing and leading a diverse team in achieving enterprise objectives across varied functional areas of the business.
• Strong client focus and be able to effectively and quickly build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence. What you have A minimum of 12 years of experience in increasingly responsible digital product leadership roles - Experience providing end-to-end business direction and digital product leadership for technology solutions in the financial services industry. Exceptional communication, relationship management, and influencing skills - Experience managing multiple priorities and overseeing distinct teams with varied strengths. Proven ability to navigate complex and nuanced interpersonal issues, balance priorities of different stakeholders, and build trust among business partners. Strong emotional intelligence/maturity and senior level executive presence. Thrives on initiating, building, and cultivating strong authentic relationships inside and outside the group. Experience driving transformation, change and process improvement through people, process, and technology - Able to take a broad view of continuous process improvement and operational discipline to identify and maximize what we do and how we do it across the Enterprise. Leadership - Able to articulate a complex task or analysis to individuals at all levels of the company. An exceptional manager and motivator of people and teams who can build organizational capacity through a combination of proper organizational structure, hiring, training, and recruiting the best talent available. Education and Professional Qualifications - Bachelor's degree required.
