Location GSD&M Austin Office External Description You, as the Email Marketing Supervisor for the U.S. Air Force, are the day-to-day team leader and key agency representative who has an intimate understanding of the internal and external components that lead to courageous work and the daily development of the team. You play an integral role in managing everything on your account, both up and down both within GSD&M, with our partner agencies, and the client. The Email Marketing Supervisor role requires a creative analyst who thrives on designing strategies, creating campaigns and loves the thrill of reaching for higher results. This is a perfect opportunity for an individual who loves email, has loads of initiative and likes the idea of having a direct impact on our clients success. This position does require experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You'll work closely with the Director of Lead Management, internal creative teams and our outside technology partner to design user journeys for various lead generation email and SMS marketing efforts. This role contributes to lead growth by developing email marketing and SMS campaigns that coincide with paid media and online experiences to nurture leads from initial contact to eventual conversion. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Work within the Account Leadership team to establish goals and strategies, present recommendations and solutions that align email marketing and communication strategy with clients' online and organizational goals.
  • Understand the big picture of the U.S. Air Force's and its core components' (Active Duty, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard) mission and connect it to lead capture efforts across web, digital experiences, national events, sponsorships and paid media efforts.
  • Create and manage execution of email strategy from list development and segmentation through template design and testing to publication schedules and content development, as well as reporting.
  • Provide recommendations and guide implementation of a range of email approaches including drip campaigns, newsletters, announcements, and transactional messages.
  • Proactively assess the health of client email efforts and identify upsell opportunities based on performance and analytics data, then present findings to clients.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and internal consultant on email marketing strategies and marketing automation.
