Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics - all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.As our Data Governance Platforms Principal Software Engineer, you will: --- Design, code, test, debug and document software according to Dell's systems standards, policies and procedures, should be able to navigate between these roles. --- Responsible for preparing design documentation. --- Analyze business needs and create solutions. --- Evaluate and recommend software and hardware solutions to meet user needs. --- Resolve customer issues with software solutions and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. --- Interact with business users and I/T to define current and future application requirements. Key Responsibilities: --- Expertise in Installation, configuration and administration of Informatica - EDC, IDQ, Axon, Web Services Application & Data Governance Tools (Collibra) --- Expertise in Installation, configuration and administration of TIBCO suite of products like TIBCO Data Visualization, TIBCO Enterprise Messaging Service (EMS). --- Configuring integrations between multiple RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, Mainframe and MongoDB) sources to Hive, Spark or HDFS Big Data target environment (Cloudera/Hortonworks). --- Configure, Troubleshooting & Optimize IDQ and EDC - Model Repository, Cluster and Catalog Services, Content Management and Analyst Services --- Responsible for design build and configuration of TIBCO Admin work Good experience in TIBCO Admin work, upgrades and migration projects. --- Ability to integrate Data Quality workflows using Collibra and create custom Dashboards showing Data Quality reports in Collibra. --- Takes preventive and corrective actions to ensure platform availability and stability --- Gathers and analyzes business requirements Essential Requirements: --- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience. --- Hands on experience in Administration of Data Governance Tools - Informatica - Data Quality, EDC, Collibra --- Should have good understanding of Data Governance, Collibra Operating Model, Concepts, Collibra building catalogs, Designing etc. --- Well versed with Linux Platforms. --- Maintaining, enhancing, configuring, tuning all Data Governance Platforms and Troubleshooting, Analyzing bug fixes. --- Strong experience in infrastructure architecture, such as designing, hardware sizing, effort estimation and security. --- Experience implementing automation capabilities and knowledge of DevOps and best practices. --- Knowledge in containerization and Kubernetes implementation --- Strong understanding and hands-on programming/scripting experience skills - UNIX Shell, Python or JavaScript Desirable Requirements: --- Exposure to Splunk platform engineeringEEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
