The Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for all internal communications to support employee engagement and organizational development. This individual will report into the Director of PR & Communications and will work with various stakeholders including executives to develop compelling narratives, presentations, and internal stakeholder communications across multiple channels.

Responsibilities:





  • Build internal communications road-map for all key talent initiatives
  • Ensure communication strategy is on brand, consistent and reflects YETI culture and the employee experience
  • Create overall process and SLA for internal communications including approval grid for org announcements
  • Partner with EX, Talent Acquisition, Talent Operations, Facilities as well as select business leaders on all internal employee communications regarding company changes, initiatives, events, employee safety, and corporate or human resource policies
  • Audit and suggest improvements for all candidate and employee communication materials including social media messaging, candidate offers, employee policies and procedures, employee handbook, and trainings
  • Monitor accuracy and timeliness of information distributed
  • Develop and own project management for all internal and employee communications activities, ensuring timely development, approvals and execution for all
  • Filter, assess, and recommend appropriate external speaking opportunities for executive team members, leading the development of presentation materials and coordinating product donations with corporate sales as needed
  • Work with talent business partners to create streamlined processes for organizational change management
  • Advise on content, timing and frequency of information to be presented to employees
  • Create scorecard to measure and report on communication strategy effectiveness
  • Refine core messaging to ensure consistency across all aspects of communication including development, organizing, and education
  • Manage all content related to brochures, handbooks, memos and emails
  • Collaborate with business partners to incorporate change management strategies into departmental restructuring project plans
  • Act as a liaison with the public relations or corporate communications department
  • Assist with the creation of training programs including requirements, design, and delivery
  • Collaborate with information technology personnel to streamline operations and foster awareness of change strategies



    Qualifications and Attributes:





    • Bachelor's Degree in related field and at least 6-8 years of experience working in an internal/external communications role.
    • High degree of discretion is required. Experience working with highly confidential information.
    • Impeccable writing, editing and proofreading skills
    • Experience working with executive team members, EA teams and senior leadership
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, and the ability to design presentations that are impactful, clear and visually appealing
    • Excellent organization, project, and time management skills
    • Willingness to be available outside of normal business hours as needed
    • Proven track record of creating scalable processes, templates, and tools to avoid reinventing the wheel
    • Ability to prioritize work and maturity to seek help when unsure
    • Ability to work independently while keeping pertinent stakeholders informed
    • Positive, can do attitude with high propensity for collaboration
