To learn more, please visit--www.amherst.com.----The--Process Optimization & Liquidity Management, Associate--is a key contributor to the growing Acquisition team. The Associate will initially be dedicated to processing optimization of the Closings department and will manage liquidity as it relates to Acquisitions.--Job Responsibilities:Process OptimizationPartner with Closings / Acquisitions team to develop frameworks and insights to address key process improvements and potential organizational changesIdentify major issues, process breakdowns, and actionable opportunities, and design and implement solutionsAble to analyze complex problems and revise the logic, processes, and procedures into layman terms to prioritize business issues/opportunitiesWork independently with limited direction and take ownership to drive process improvements and initiatives to completionPerform additional duties as requested or assigned?Cash ManagementAct as liaison between Acquisitions and Capital Management related to cash usage and forecastingActively monitor available cash usage and communicate as needed to Sales & Trading ("S&T"), Auction team, Build to Rent team, Executive team, & ClosingsProvide available dates for mini-bulk transactions and auction capacity based on cash availabilityProvide suggestions for rescheduling to S&T when cash availability schedule does not align with scheduled closingsAdvise Closings how much cash is available and track usageOversee table funding process - coordinate potential dates with New Builds team, provide suggestions for rescheduling, ensure the process is on track with internal timelines, coordinate with Legal / ALM teamsMonitor properties past their closing date and direct S&T, as necessary, to coordinate updated closing datesWhen issues arise, provide suggestions for asset prioritizations and contingency plans and communicate missed funding's to S&T in a timely mannerCreate reporting to track cash usage relative to the availability and other relevant metrics for delivery to the executive team--Desired Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree required, specialty focus on Real Estate a plus, with 2-4 years of experienceSelf-motivated and dependableCandidate should be extremely detail-oriented and organized with a proven ability to work well in a high-intensity environment to complete tasks quickly and effectivelyExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalLook for innovative ways to improve our businessMust be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment--What we offer:Amherst is a privately held corporation located in West Austin with beautiful views of Lake Austin and the loop 360 bridge in a modern work-space--with open floor plans.A competitive compensation package, annual bonus, 401k matchFlexible PTO, 8 paid holidaysEmployer-paid benefits (medical, dental, vision, health savings account)Professional career development and reimbursementEmployee referral program--On-premise fitness center, locker roomsMonthly lunch stipends, fully stocked kitchen with snacks/drinksMonthly/quarterly office events!Amherst is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
