The BDS VC-25B Presidential Aircraft program is seeking a Project Management/ Project Engineer to join the team. The selected person will have the ability to apply knowledge of VIP Interior Modifications to ensure the successful completion of the most iconic aircraft flying today.This is an opportunity to be part of an outstanding teamand be part of making history as we shape the next generation Presidential Aircraft. Position Responsibilities: Work with internal and external customers to support the InteriorInstallationon VC-25B. Determines requirements, sequencing, resources and processes to support the installation of the VC-25B interior components and systems. Identifies methods of compliance to satisfy program requirements. Integrate with suppliers, customers and engineering teams to lead Interiors installation statement of work, including schedules and budget. Support the development and improvement oftools and process to support cost saving initiative. Presentmodification engineering, and project status to leadership and government customers. Develop and support validation, test plans, certification plans, and performs design verification by supporting testing and analysis to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements. Manages in terior installations, , testproduction inspection and delivery activities and coordinates with the supplier. Program Management Best Practices experience. Earned Value Management experience. Experience in creating and presenting program metrics which depict installation status, earned value, parts tracking, look ahead activities, certification status, help needed, etc. Team building skills which result in multi-disciplined teams from many organizations pulling together to deliver a VIP interior on schedule and within budget. Coordinate cross functional organizations to progress VIP Interior installation to plan and customer requirements. Demonstrated ability to comprehend and manage systems, functions, and resources to move parts to the airplane, oversee installation, and close through quality acceptance and installation conformity. This is a unique opportunity to work in two Boeing locations. The initial assignment for selected candidates will be located in the following location: Tukwila, WA. The second and final assignment will be located in San Antonio, TX. If selected, candidates will be required to relocate to San Antonio, Texas as a condition of employment. **This position is contingent upon clearance verification and program / customer concurrence.** Security Clearances: This position requires an active (or ability to obtain a Top Secret) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience): Ability to obtainU.S. Security Clearance (post-start) Bachelors of Science degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Experience in the aerospace industry. Experiencein interiors installation. Experience deliveringInterior Quality and negotiating / managing customer expectations. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): BDS Engineering Candidates Desired Experience in VIP Interior Installation programs. Supported or managed shipside VIP interior installations for wide-body commercial aircraft from initial removals through delivery. Experience coordinating cross functional organizations to progress VIP Interior installation to plan and customer requirements. Demonstrated ability to comprehend and manage systems, functions, and resources to move parts to the airplane, oversee installation, and close through quality acceptance and installation conformity. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of certification processes associated with STC (certification) programs. Modification experience in the BDS San Antonio environment and familiarity with BDS systems and processes Current U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance Good organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Demonstrated a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitments. Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events. Experience with Microsoft Project, BORIS, and Standard Metrics Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation Relocation : This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation is available for internal candidates.These positions will be located in San Antonio, TX with initial Domestic Temporary Assignment (DTA) to Tukwila, WA or business travel to the interior supplier or sub-tier suppliers.
