**Position Summary** Samsung Austin Semiconductor (SAS) is one of the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities in the United States. Owned by Samsung Electronics Corporation Ltd., SAS is the only semiconductor manufacturing plant located outside of Korea. SAS manufactures logic components for digital services, personal computers, mobile phones, workstations and servers. Since 1997, SAS has been at the forefront of manufacturing technology, enabling the world's digital devices to operate at the highest performance. The Quality and Reliability team is focused on preventing excursion in high volume manufacturing by driving overall quality improvements. As part of the Quality and Reliability team, you will provide support providing technical expertise. SAS is focused on being the World?s Best Foundry product supplier. **Role and Responsibilities** + Lead deployment of medium to large-scale projects that are cross-functional in nature and have visibility to company executives. + Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, support group counterparts, and executives to ensure compliance to external and internal quality standards and to meet quality goals. + Capable of problem solve complex situations and navigate the political landscape to accomplish results. + Analyze and make recommendations to help improve quality indices for each department?s business processes and programs. + Enforce rules & systems based operation to all employees while ensuring SAS procedures are continuously evolving and current. + Perform various types of audits (product, process, equipment, department, function, element, system, management) in relation to excursion prevention activities within the organization. + Participate in fab-wide pFMEA activities to minimize risks to mass production. + Improve SPC signal to noise ratio, deploy improvements to SPC methodology, and drive departments in root cause identification and preventative action implementation. + Drive process performance improvements to ensure process stability during mass production + Prepare for mass production of devices in early to mid-stage process development. + Coordinate and leads activities to ensure the product has passed all necessary requirements for on-time mass production to meet challenging schedule constraints. + Complete matching of specifications and key requirements affecting device performance, yield and reliability to specified design and to sister fabs. + Coordinate and lead activity in response to quality issues to achieve root-cause countermeasures and recurrence prevention. + Create strategic action plans to reduce quality concerns. + Assess risks for process and equipment change points and ensure all change points are managed according to established rules. + Collaborate with Process Quality team to assess risks for equipment change points and to ensure all change points are managed according to established rules. + Improve FDC signal to noise ratio, deploy improvements to FDC methodology, and drive departments in root cause identification and preventative action implementation. + Conduct comparative analysis across all toolsets to isolate discrepant indicators related to product quality. + Implement semiconductor equipment related quality system improvements/deployments/audits as well as supporting quality operations. + Shift: 1st-Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. **Skills and Qualifications** + BS degree required - engineering, materials science or related field preferred. + Two+ years of semiconductor engineering experience preferred. + Advanced project management skills required, Project Management credentials preferred. + Lean/6Sigma/CQE certification preferred. + A high level of self-motivation and strong communication skills (written and presentation) required. + Must be able to quickly learn complex systems to execute job function within the following SAS systems: eSpec, GPM, SiMax, WorkPlace, EMS, YMS, SPC Module, and SharePoint. + Knowledge of semiconductor fab processing and yield/reliability mechanisms preferred. + Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products is required. + Candidate must have experience with meeting and exceeding quality objectives through use of ASQ quality tools. + Detailed understanding and experience with Statistical Process Control methodology, management, and improvement is required. + Experience in high volume, high product mix fab environment is preferred. * Please visit Samsung membership at https://account.samsung.com/membership/pp to see Privacy Policy, which defaults according to your location.
