Job Description Job Description Sunland Group, Inc. is seeking
an Aviation Cost Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will
support estimating needs for projects related to airport expansion
and improvements at the San Antonio Airport until the Program's
completion. The Aviation Cost Estimator will interface with various
construction disciplines, members of the Project Team, and Owner
Representatives in efforts to estimate all project cost elements
(labor, materials, supplies, equipment, contingencies, escalations,
risk factors, etc.) for each project at various phases of their
lifecycle. Once this multi-year Program is complete you will join
our estimating team at our San Antonio office, continuing cost
estimation for multiple projects (ranging in size) for various
markets. Requirements: Possesses the knowledge of and can utilize
industry cost databases, software systems, and standards to produce
completed estimates Ability to collaborate and coordinate with key
personnel to evaluate and assess budgets to prepare full project
estimates Prepare detailed estimates for each project at each
project phase: conceptual, schematic design, design development,
and construction documents Assist in preparation of take-offs and
analyzing cost comparisons against contractor estimates Recognize
and initiate cost estimating change orders Maintain and update
airport project cost databases to optimize estimating accuracy and
efficiency Ability to estimate both vertical and horizontal
elements Team player, excellent interpersonal skills and a
cooperative attitude Analytical skills and attention to detail
Responsible, ethical, and conscientious nature Excellent spoken and
written communication skills 5-10 years of construction cost
estimating experience Ability to read and understand plans and
specifications for majority of disciplines Good working knowledge
of construction techniques and production rates Must be authorized
to work in the United States without sponsorship Bachelor's degree
in Civil, Architectural, Construction Management, Mechanical or
Electrical Engineering or similar field of study preferred (5 years
of Field experience may be substituted for educational
requirements) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel,
Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) Preferences: Proficiency in
construction cost estimating and aviation cost estimating Knowledge
of CostOs, Planswift, or similar estimating software Our highly
