Job Description Job Description SUMMARY We're seeking a hands-on
New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to lead the
industrialization and launch of metal-mechanical products, with a
strong focus on generator enclosures and assemblies for data center
applications. Based in the San Antonio metro area, this role plays
a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and scalable manufacturing
operations. Apply today! RESPONSIBILITIES Lead end-to-end NPI
execution from design freeze through production ramp and full-scale
manufacturing. Own phase-gate deliverables including DFM/DFA,
process readiness, cost targets, and risk management. Ensure
enclosure designs are optimized for manufacturability, assembly,
and serviceability. Drive continuous design and process
improvements across fabrication operations. Validate manufacturing
readiness through FAI, capability studies, and pilot builds. Serve
as manufacturing lead and cross-functional liaison for NPI
programs. Ensure on-time readiness aligned with customer delivery
commitments. Lead product and process transfer to Manufacturing and
Operations. Standardize lessons learned into future NPI best
practices. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Mechanical,
Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or (equivalent). 5 years
of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), Manufacturing
Engineering, or Process Engineering within a metal-mechanical
environment. Demonstrated ability to manage projects or workstreams
within a structured NPI or product development framework. Hands-on
experience with datacenter infrastructure products, including
enclosures and electrical or mechanical housings. Proficiency with
CAD tools (SolidWorks/PDM/AutoCAD). Familiarity with ERP/MRP
systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and PLM tools. Lean
manufacturing and problem-solving certifications (Lean, Six Sigma,
Kaizen)
