Job Description Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: Working under
the direction of the Service Manager, the Field Service Technician
is responsible for performing troubleshooting, repairs and
operations/maintenance checks on fleet and customer equipment while
operating in or outside the shop environment. Technicians will be
required to communicate with customers and must be able to operate
and navigate various digital reporting tools. ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates a company service truck safely and
autonomously Meet deadlines established by the Service Manager
Perform timely and accurate diagnostics and repairs on various
equipment systems with little to no supervision: Heavy Construction
Equipment hydraulic systems Heavy Construction Equipment mechanical
systems Heavy Construction Equipment electrical systems Asphalt
Equipment Concrete Equipment Communicate work required/performed
verbally and using digital service support platforms. Communicate
work required/performed with customers. Request parts using service
support tools as directed by the Service Manager and ensures
accuracy. Practice safe work habits in accordance with Closner shop
standards Use and maintain shop tools and equipment according to
company procedures and safety standards. Maintain a reasonably
clean workspace. Develop more junior technicians. Complete required
paperwork efficiently and timely Attend factory and other training
as specified by the supervisor. Demonstrate the ability and
willingness to continuously improve trade skill sets. Utilizes
company credit card and/or parts truck in a responsible manner if
required QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma 5 years of experience
repairing/maintaining construction equipment and tools. Advanced
mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools. Possess a valid
driver’s license and clean driving record. Deep knowledge of
construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics
and diagrams Highly Knowledgeable of mechanical, electrical, and
hydraulic systems Ability to read and understand electrical and
hydraulic schematics Welding or pneumatic experience is a must.
Experience in the infrastructure industry preferred. Excellent
knowledge of the equipment systems Willing to work overtime on
during week and on weekends/ holidays, as needed Must be able to
travel within 150 miles radius Some overnight stay may be required
Exercise a strong work ethic and integrity Perform well in a team
environment Accept accountability for actions taken Provide all
basic hand tools required to perform duties alone and without shop
support High level of customer service Good written and verbal
communication skills PHYSICAL AND WORKSITE ENVIRONMENT: The

weather conditions Must be able to: talk and hear, stand, squat,

Climb ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Physical ability to
perform maintenance on equipment for extended hours of time with
continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workday. Must be
able to work in confined spaces. Pushing/ Pulling/Lift and/or move
up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job
include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and
ability to adjust focus. Able to sit for long periods at a time
while driving to jobsites if required. Sufficient hearing to be
aware of traffic, warning signals, passenger stop indicator,
passenger requests, etc. Able to use both hands and both feet
concurrently. Able to safely reach all controls and have good
visibility in all directions while seated in the driver's seat.
Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious
places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals;
outside weather conditions, including heat; risk of electrical
shock; and vibration. This position is considered a
safety-sensitive position. The noise level in the work environment
