POSITION DESCRIPTION This position is responsible for maintaining
and repairing dies so that the stamped parts are produced
efficiently without any defects. This includes preventative
maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for dies that are
damaged. This is done through welding, grinding, and creating new
die blocks. Modification of existing die parts and the creation of
new die parts is also part of the position’s responsibilities. This
position may be required to answer press calls and make repairs in
the press. The position includes the use of TIG welders, stick
welders, grinding machines, drilling machines, milling machines,
and lathe machines. Safe operation of overhead cranes is required
to transport dies from one location to another. This position
requires regular and reliable attendance to meet production needs.
This position requires following all ISO 14001 and TS16949
standards. This position also requires compliance with quality
standards at all times. All employees are responsible for wearing
all the required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) necessary for
the tasks they are performing and/or the location of the building
they are located in. All employees are required to perform any job,
task, or duty assigned to them, whether or not it is directly
related to their specific job title. Requirements: EDUCATION,
SKILLS and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent 3-6
years of related job experience Math skills Machining experience
Die theory Problem solving/troubleshooting skills Welding &
grinding experience, experience with milling machines, lathe
machines, drill presses, band saws, surface grinders and bench work
with hand grinders Ability to convert between metric and English
measurements Reading & writing skills BENEFITS Employee pays one
