Fluor is seeking candidates for the I-35 Capital Express South project in Austin, TX.

The approximately 9-mile project will add two non-tolled high-occupancy vehicle managed lanes in each direction along I-35 from U.S. 290 West/State Highway 71/Ben White Boulevard to State Highway 45 Southeast. Fluor's scope includes a combination of at-grade and elevated lanes in the median, reconstruction of bridges and frontage roads, the addition of a shared-use pedestrian and bicycle path, and enhanced safety and mobility improvements.

The construction engineering role will support the construction efforts by providing technical support to craft and supervision as well as helping to satisfy quality requirements on the project.
---Participate in safety program, including weekly crew meetings
---Assist craft and project supervision with regard to construction-related issues identified on drawings, including writing and helping resolve RFI's
---Assist in planning and tracking quantities, manhours and schedule progress in coordination with project controls group
---Management of subcontractors, including monthly schedule and payment progress
---Change management related to contract changes, including cost estimating and tracking potential change orders
---Discipline assignment may include maintenance of traffic, drainage, utility, roadway and/or structures
---Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

---Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and no required previous years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to four (4) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
---Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
---Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
---Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
---Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications

---Construction Management degree or global equivalent
---Typically has one (1) year of project experience
---Ability to speak/read multiple languages
---Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the basic use of spreadsheets
