THE ROLE : The Application Development Engineer - Process and
Utility Solutions will be responsible for partnering with the
Product Segment Manager for the development and execution of
product line strategy and strategic marketing plans in order to
promote accelerated growth of Analytics Process Monitoring
Instrumentation in the Americas. In this role, the incumbent will
also promote Xylem Analytics products, provide application support
to ensure our customers obtain high quality, useful data from their
instrumentation, generate technical marketing content, train
customers and selling partners on our technology and applications,
present at industry conferences, assist with key account trials and
develop relationships with strategic partners and customers. We

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an
individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily.
Provide analysis and insights into the municipal wastewater and
drinking water markets to help position and promote Xylem Analytics
products. Product lines include online wet chemistry analyzers,
online water quality sensors, mag meters and level devices all with
various networking and communications options.
Communicate brand and product value proposition to customers and
selling partners by developing and presenting content that supports
sales activities, marketing campaigns and lead generation. Content
includes: technology and application presentations, sales
presentations, technical tips, videos, case studies, white papers,
industry articles, blog posts, webinars, application notes and
other content as needed.
Create presentations for industry conferences and customer
trainings. Submit abstracts at strategic conferences and drive
customer training events in key geographic areas.
Keep sales, marketing and other company personnel informed about
competitive activity and potential new business opportunities.
Assist with new product launches.
Maximize customer awareness of our products and services. Be
champion for customer with internal teams.
Assist the customer in choosing the right instrumentation for their
application
Maximize the business potential for North America by identifying
and fostering relationships with key customers and associations.
Meet with key accounts/customers to facilitate sales and increase
market share. This also includes the deployment and installation of
instruments and systems at key demonstration trials.
Provide second level tech support to our customers, selling
partners and front line tech support teams. Help Troubleshooting
and resolution of non-performing instruments and systems
Responsible for providing continuous feedback on ways Xylem can
improve product performance/data quality/customer satisfaction as
well as feedback on market condition to help identify new product
ideas and service opportunities.
Attend relevant exhibitions, seminars, and training courses as
required to maintain a high level of expertise and recognition by
industry peers.
Provide monthly reports to leader/team that highlight
accomplishments of goals and upcoming activities
With leader, develop and modify performance plan and goals.
Accept other tasks necessary from time to time as assigned by
Product Segment Manager or other managers.
Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on
organization needs
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline such as
Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology or Chemistry.
Educational and professional experience in wastewater process
control applications
Experience selling, using or networking process
instrumentation.
Computer experience using PC and web-based software and platforms:
Microsoft office, SFDC
DAY IN THE LIFE :
In this role, the working environment is usually office based
however may require domestic and some international travel 25-50%
of the time.
SALARY :
The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000
plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as
skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the
top of the range. At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation
