Key Qualifications

Minimum BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience

Experience with CPU architecture and micro-architecture concepts

Experience working in a performance modeling environment

Experience with tracing on silicon for performance evaluation

Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Perl

Comfortable with C and C++

Knowledge and experience with common performance benchmarks and workloads

Knowledge of OS internals and compiler technology is a plus

Experience in analyzing application performance

Description

--- Collaborate with software and system teams to identify and trace and profile critical workloads for CPU performance and power --- Develop representative benchmarks for CPU critical workloads --- Capture key workloads from silicon for CPU performance evaluation --- Identify hardware and software performance bottlenecks --- Work closely with the Architecture, Micro-Architecture, and RTL teams in identification of solutions --- Run and analyze workloads on simulators and prototype devices as well as work on developing and automating performance analysis infrastructure

Education & Experience

Minimum BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience
